Safety Information

ARROW INSPECTION

Be sure to check your arrows after every shot. A quick flex test can determine whether your arrow was damaged by the initial shot and if you can safely shoot that arrow again. Failing to do so can result in injury and/or equipment damage.

Things to look for upon inspection would be as follows:

While gently flexing or twisting the shaft of your arrow you may hear a noise which might indicate that the arrow has a micro crack and is not to be shot again. This damage can be caused by hitting something solid resulting in stress cracks up the shaft of the arrow. Shooting groups and hitting another arrow can also have the same result.

Always inspect the nock of the arrow. Hitting a solid target can transfer kinetic energy through to the end of the arrow forcing the nock out of sitting position on the shaft of the arrow. Shooting groups can result in damage to the nocks as well.

Please always remember to inspect your arrow after every shot to ensure you have a safe and fun time shooting your bow.

ARROW BUILDING AND CUTTING

Always be sure when building or having your arrows built that the arrows are cut with a high speed arrow cutter. Improper cutting of arrows can result in injury and/or equipment damage.

Proper Arrow Length Selection

Properly measure your draw length and shoot the appropriate arrow length. Shooting an arrow too short or too long can result in personal injury.

Proper Arrow Spine Selection

Please refer to the arrow spine chart to ensure that the appropriate spine selection is made for your draw length and bow poundage. Failing to shoot the proper spine of arrows can result in personal injury and/or equipment damage.

SAFE SHOOTING

When shooting your bow and Bigstar Arrows always be aware of what is behind your target. Set up a good back stop behind the target to slow or even stop your arrow in the event that an arrow pass through or miss occurs.

Never point your drawn back bow at a person, serious injury or death could occur.

Always be sure to have a clear shot path as a deflected arrow can travel a great distance and cause injury or even death.
